My photos of Pamukkale, Turkiye help to capture the stunning landscapes of one of Turkiye’s most magical landscapes.

Early in my family’s 2023 journey through Turkiye, we made our way to the magical terraces of Pamukkale, one of the most fascinating places to visit in the country. I’ll admit to not having done a lot of research prior to our arrival. That’s not a rare occurrence for me, especially when we’re on a, nearly, five-week jaunt through such a massive country.

Pamukkale is one of the most sought-after destinations in the country, and I quickly learned why. The mineral-rich water that bubbles up from geothermal springs high up the surrounding mountains has caused bright white mineral deposits in the region that have naturally formed into perfect travertines.

It’s no surprise as to why Pamukkale draws so many visitors. Its beauty, especially at sunrise is spectacular. The sky fills with hot air balloons and the morning sky reflects off of the sparkling, warm waters.
