Kevin Wagar’s Thailand Photography Nominated For Best Landscape Photo at the 2024 Travel Media Association of Canada Awards

Kevin continues a trend of outstanding landscape photography with the nomination for Best Landscape Photography for his photo of a Thai fisherman casting his net amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Khao Phing Kan (James Bond) Island in Phuket, Thailand.

The photo was snapped from the water late in the day as the sun to the right of the island creating dramatic shadows and ethereal light.

The photo marks the fourth straight year that Kevin Wagar has been nominated for this award. He has placed in the top three in all previous years.

This year’s award, sponsored by Tourism Saskatchewan, has a strong field of contenders with wonderful photography presented by some of Canada’s top travel media and photographers, including:

• Robin Karpan- Banff at night
• Roland Bastarache- Sunset at Mt St Michel
• Kevin Wagar- Fishing boat in the Phi Phi Islands
