Kevin Wagar and Christopher Mitchell Win “Best Travel Website” for We Explore Canada at the 2022 Travel Media Association of Canada Awards

In June 2023 at the Travel Media Association of Canada conference in Sudbury, Ontario, the winners of the 2022 TMAC Awards were presented. Among the big winners of these prestigious Canadian travel media awards was Kevin Wagar.

Kevin came away with two awards for his work this past year including:

• Third Place: People’s Choice Photo Award for his photo of his son Dylan enjoying tea at a Berber Village in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains
• Second Place: Best Travel Website for We Explore Canada, his Canadian Travel website that he co-founded with Christopher James Mitchell of Traveling Mitch.

These awards are in addition to past TMAC awards that Kevin has won which include:

2020:

• Best Digital Publication: Wandering Wagars – Adventure Family Travel

2021

• First, Second, and Third Place: Ann Britton Campbell Memorial Award for Best Family Feature for his article Fear of Water: Overcoming Travel Anxiety published by Canadian Traveller.
• Second Place: Best Landscape or Evocation of Place for his photo of sunset over the Atacama Desert in Chile.
• Third Place: Best People Photo for his photo of his son Dylan playing on the beaches of El Nido, Philippines.
